Describe the surface underneath
Tell Trey what is installed now, what material you are considering and whether the floor feels soft, uneven or loose. A new finish does not correct an unresolved moisture or support problem simply by covering it.
Details to discuss before ordering
- Which rooms and transitions are included, and whether doors or trim will be affected.
- Who will move furniture, remove existing material and handle disposal.
- Whether the proposed product is suitable for the room and what its manufacturer requires for installation and curing.
Tile repairs are not all the same
An isolated broken tile, loose wall tile and grout that repeatedly cracks are different conditions. Matching replacement tile may also be difficult. Photograph the affected area and any spare material or packaging you still have.
Material-specific installation, wet-area waterproofing and concealed damage need explicit review. This page does not promise every flooring material or specialist system is within TLC's scope.
Plan for access and room use
Discuss how long the area will be unavailable based on the chosen material and confirmed work. Curing and storage requirements should follow the actual product instructions, not a generic website promise.

Common questions
Should I buy flooring before talking to you?
It is usually better to talk first. The subfloor, room use and transitions can affect which products make sense and how much you need.
Can you replace one cracked tile?
Often, if a matching tile is available. Mention whether you have spare tiles or the original box.
